"A Woman's Place" show at the Belmont Gallery of Art

Hello, everyone!

The Belmont Gallery of Art invited me to both show my "House Dress Project" (final MFA show) and curate a show to compliment my pieces.  I have chosen 13 women to show with me who are all making artwork speaking to the theme "A Women's Place...a discussion of being female in the 21st century".

This is going to be a powerhouse exhibition.  The opening is on January 13th at 6:30PM.  19 Moore Street, 3rd floor, Belmont MA. It's the Homer building in Belmont Center behind Belmont Savings Bank. Hold that Saturday night open so you can come sip wine and celebrate with me!

Cheers!

It's been a long time...

I am resurrecting this blog to bring attention to some big announcements!

First of all, in the coming days and weeks I will be posting about my final MFA show which will be held in Belmont, MA this January.

Fors starters though, I was featured in an article in Bust Magazine about a project I participated in along with about 100 other stitchers/ crafters.  The project focuses on bringing attention to the refugee crisis across the world at the moment, and my quilt square shows the image of the little boy who washed up on the beach.
The creators of the project, and people who are assembling the quilt are in Australia, but the contributors hail from across the globe.

It's very exciting to have an image of my work in a BUST Magazine article!
