French Knot Paintings!

Soooo exciting!  This is the first of my french knot painting series!
The richness of the surface is so beautiful!
The amount of control I have with the image through the DMC floss is the most surprising discovery.  This technique feels a lot like painting with oil paint and a brush.
On to the next one!

Cheers!

  1. Gorgeous work Kimberly! I personally know it takes plenty of time to create a beautiful piece of art with "French Knots".

    1. Thank you Nesha! I call them my obsessive surfaces! I love the results so it is worth the time! Consider subscribing to the blog- I only post 2-3 times/week and include some of the work I am doing on Cross Stitch charts as well!

  2. Gorgeous! Saw you on Chronicle tonight and this design stopped me in my tracks...do you sell a pattern for it?

    1. I am sorry I missed your comment, but wanted to respond! I am working on the best approach to selling kits, charts, etc, for French knot paintings. Have you ever seen one before?
