Two Yellow Pears- this is another 6x6" oil on panel. I am gessoing the panels using a pallette knife, which gives me the vertical and horizontal striping in the underlayers. I really like this effect and plan on exploring it further.
I love what the vert/horizontal gessoing gives to the panel. It provides great depth to the background and the shadow behind the pears which then provides extra pop to the fruit. I look forward to seeing all these in person; especially ones on canvas, such as Leaning alongside this one. Really lovely, all! lag

Thanks Laurie! I am anxious for people to see these in person as well. Some are quite small, and therefore quite charming!
